# Chainstack add-ons: marketplace extensions for RPC nodes

> Enhance your Chainstack RPC nodes with add-ons including debug and trace APIs, archive data access, MEV protection on Ethereum and BNB Smart Chain, and Optimized Submission on L2 sequencer chains.

Add-ons are [Marketplace](https://console.chainstack.com/marketplace) items that extend your Chainstack nodes with extra capabilities.

## Manage node add-ons

Node add-ons such as Warp transactions and MEV protection attach to a specific node. You manage them on the node's **Add-ons** tab, where each add-on card shows **Enable** until you install the add-on, and **Active** with a **Disable** button once it's installed.

### Install a node add-on

    On Chainstack, open your node and select the **Add-ons** tab.

    Click **Enable** on the add-on card, select a plan in the **Install Add-on** dialog, and click **Install**.

### Change an add-on plan

An add-on installed on a paid plan, such as [Unlimited Node](/docs/unlimited-node) or [Yellowstone gRPC Geyser plugin](/docs/yellowstone-grpc-geyser-plugin), can switch to another plan in place, without reinstalling.

    On the node's **Add-ons** tab, click the sliders icon next to **Disable** on the add-on card.

    In the **Add-on settings** dialog, your installed plan is marked **Current plan**. Select a different plan and click **Save changes**.

Billing switches to the new plan right away, and the add-on applies it once the payment is confirmed, usually within a minute. Until then, the card shows **Updating** and lists the previous plan. The switch is prorated and keeps the add-on's renewal date. If the payment doesn't go through, the add-on stays on its previous plan.

### Remove a node add-on

To remove a node add-on, click **Disable** on its card on the **Add-ons** tab. The add-on is uninstalled immediately, with no confirmation step. You can install it again later from the same tab.
